Notecards: Winter Solstice

Cards are 5" x 7", dark green ink on white.

Winter Solstice marks the point of the shortest day, when there the least sunlight and winter begins. Many ancient cultures regarded evergreens as a symbol of eternal life and renewal. Stags, who shed their antlers each spring, were other signs of the annual mystery of rebirth.
